Making ENVE performance accessible to more riders, this 45 Carbon Tubeless Disc Wheelset from their Foundation Collection perfectly balances aerodynamics and stability, and is handcrafted in their facility in Ogden, Utah. To deliver proprietary technology at a great price point, ENVE have borrowed from their flagship SES range but made improvements to manufacturing efficiencies.

One of the key differences between the Foundation wheels and the SES models is that rims are matched front and rear, rather than being optimised for each position individually. Despite this change, they still boast stability and reduced drag far above that of the competition. Although most efficient when used in a tubeless setup with 25mm tyres, the rim shape means they'll still minimise drag if you wish to run wider 28mm tyres. ENVE’s patent pending Wide Hookless Bead technology makes the leading-edge wider, stronger, and more able to cope with impacts and distribute the shock evenly for extra comfort. A 45mm rim depth is ideal for road racing and triathlons, slicing through the air yet is still easy to control on a windy day.

The Foundation Road Hub uses a simplified shell but has the same internals as the SES wheels; a durable, responsive and drag-reducing ID360 40t ratchet drive mechanism, plus the Perfect Preload™ system, eliminating play. Premium-grade, fully sealed NTN steel bearings enhance the longevity of the hub.

The rim is laced to the hub with 24 spokes front and rear, utilising patented Molded Spoke and Valve Stem Hole technology for enhanced strength and reduced weight. These wheels are designed for disc brake builds, and are available for either Shimano or SRAM XDR setups.
